2018 was a milestone year for Honda Powersports with the release of their redesigned flagship motorcycle, the Honda Gold Wing. Point Light was invited by Vreeke & Associates Agency to capture supplemental b-roll of the only two existing Gold Wing prototypes, housed quietly in Honda’s headquarters in Torrance, CA, and to manage editing of key video training on the many exciting details offered by the newly designed bike. Honda was intent on ensuring that all US Honda dealerships were properly educated prior to delivery to their showrooms. The Vreeke team, long-time leaders in powersports promotion (Dunlop tires, Arai helmets, etc.), oversaw the writing and technical detail, aiding graphics and video selection to be used in the video edits. Two video editors on Point Light’s side worked quickly with 4K footage to assemble the cuts, ultimately delivering the approved files to be incorporated into Honda’s learning management system. Reviews of the training immediately received the highest praise from dealership owners around the country. Today, a quick search on YouTube reveals multiple cuts and versions that were borrowed from the training videos we created.
